Celebrity Jail-a-thon a great success for local Crime Stoppers

Near North Crime Stoppers announced that the recent Celebrity Jail-a-thon, held on May 13th at Northgate Shopping Centre was a great success.

The final tally for the one day event that featured 31 ‘Jailbirds’ + one four-legged, MNR canine unit member is $16,500.

Thanking everyone who helped and/or donated Executive Director Tracy Balen said, “these are much needed funds required to run the program, including rewards to tipsters.”

She adds without the support of the community this valuable program would simply not exist.
