Former members of St. Rita & Corpus Christi mark the Feast of St. Rita

Once again the members of the former parishes of St. Rita, Corpus Christi, and Ss. Anges found comfort in each others company on the steps of St. Rita's Church on Douglas Street this past Sunday.

Since the three churches were closed in December of 2010, the steps have become an important meeting place for the parishioners to gather and mark special religious events as well refuel their commitment to the fight to have the parishes restored .

The continues to fundraise to pay for lawyers who are pleading their case to have the Vatican overturn Bishop Jean-Louis Plouffe’s decision to close the churches.

This past Sunday the group celebrated the Feast of St. Rita, Patroness of Impossible Causes with a prayer service.
