News Release

********************

For eleven years Bring Your Own Banana has been a part of Chippewa Intermediate/Secondary School thanks to the monkeys on the Near North Student Robotics Initiative. This extremely popular event will be held on Thursday May 26th in the Chippewa Secondary School foyer from 12:00pm to 1:00 pm.

Every year robot kids make banana splits as a way to promote having fun without drugs or alcohol. The proceeds from this event will be given to the Near North Student Robotics Initiative and their efforts to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition on an international level.

Banana splits, music, and FUN cause this event to be an hour of non-stop action, and if you're not careful you may get run over by a robot! Keep your eyes open you never know who you may see: a super hero may be nearby.

We welcome your interest and participation in this event. A number of positions of "Celebrity Scooper" are available!

For more information, please contact teacher/mentor Judy Smith at 475-2341 x 8512.
