North Bay man charged with escape lawful custody

On Sunday, May 05, Police observed a male known to them operating a vehicle in North Bay. A check on the plates revealed the vehicle as stolen from the Peel Regional Police area.

Upon attempting to stop the vehicle, suspect sped away with police in pursuit, and then following by a foot pursuit; a 32-year-old male was arrested and brought to Police Headquarters to be held for a bail hearing. This male was then taken to hospital for treatment of a possible overdose, where he escaped from hospital. He was later located on Hwy 17 West and returned to the hospital.

Daniel Gravelle, 32-years of North Bay is being held on charges of; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
