Constellations News Release

Widdifield Secondary School's production of Constellations won an Outstanding Production Award at the Northern Ontario Regional Sears Drama Festival held in Kirkland Lake April 29 to May 1. The show will head to Toronto on May 11-14, 2011 for the Provincial Showcase. A number of Widdifield students were recognized for their achievements including:
Awards of Excellence - Jesse Beam for Directing, Zach Arndt for Acting
Awards of Merit - Steven Smits for Stage Management, Jamie Boudreau for Projection Design, Ashley Utvich for Acting, Kaitlyn Stewart for Acting.
Widdifield S.S. is proud to be representing Northern Ontario at The Ontario Provincial Showcase.

Stage Manager's Award - Katie Prud'homme Almaguin Highlands S.S.
Award of Excellence - St Joseph-Scollard Hall for the chorus
Award of Excellence - SJSH - Aaron Corbeil and Ian Gauthier for performance as Josh and Shadow
Award of Excellence - Algonquin's Gavin Pigeau for performance
Award of Merit - Algonquin's Andre-Luc Roberge and Lindsay Goodship for technical.
Award of Merit - Almaguin Highland S.S. - ensemble performance for the scene in the mini van

Widdifield's production of Constellations wowed them in Kirkland Lake and The Company is moving on to Sears Ontario Drama Festival Provincial Showcase Wednesday, May 11th through Saturday, May 14th at Hart House Theatre in Toronto.
Company players walked away with a number of awards they include:
- Jesse Beam won the Outstanding Directing award
- Zach Arndt won the award of excellence in acting
- Ashley Utvich won the awart of merit in acting
- Jamie Boudreau won the award of Merit for tech/Lighting.
- Kaitlyn Stewart won the award of Merit for Acting
- Steven Smits won the award of Merit for Stage Management
