Mayor Al is Kiwanis' Citizen of the Year

The Kiwanis Club of North Bay has sponsored the Citizen of the Year award for the past 27 years. This award is our way of saying thanks to an individual(s) who has made a significant positive impact on the quality of life in our community by donating their time, effort and resources to make a difference in our city. Nominations are accepted from the community at large and all individuals are eligible for the award.

This year we are proud to announce Al McDonald as our Citizen of the Year for 2010.

"As Chair of the Citizen of the Year, I cannot think of a more worthy recipient" said Linda Lutecki " this award is our way of saying thanks to Al for his dedication and exceptional contribution to our city.

"I am truly honoured" stated Al McDonald "I really believe in our community and I just want to play a small part and make a difference. We are very fortunate to live in such a caring and generous city. I would like to thank the Kiwanis Club of North Bay for this award"

* North Bay's Newsmaker of the Year 2002 Chair and Founder - North Bay Walk of Fame

* Chair - North Bay Heritage Festival Member - North Bay Police Services Board

* Director - Kiwanis Club of North Bay Founder - Lacrosse North Bay

* Co-Chair - "Top Secret" Fundraiser for the Capitol Centre Director - Halfway House North Bay

* Co-Chair - "Live on the Red Carpet" Lead Donor - Gathering Place Soup Kitchen

* President - North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce Co-Chair - North Bay in a Box

* Member - The Learning Library Capital Campaign Member - North Bay Millennium Committee

Al will be honoured with a dinner at the Clarion Resort on Tuesday, June 14th. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce on Seymour Street.
