Just a reminder that the “Meet the Candidates’ Night” for the Federal Election is scheduled for this evening, Thursday, April 21, 2011at Odyssée School Auditorium, 480 Norman.

The evening will begin at 6:15 pm with the Meet and Greet portion, with the formal part beginning at 7 pm.

The format for the event will be introductory speeches, followed by debate questions from the moderator and media panel and audience, ending with closing remarks. The committee has confirmed Jeff Turl as the Moderator for the event.

Cogeco Cable 12 will be taping the event to replay prior to the election. Cogeco will air the debate on the following dates and times: Tuesday, April 26 at 8pm, Thursday, April 28 at 7pm, and Saturday, April 30 at 7pm.

The media panel make up is: Kate Adams, Baytoday.ca; Rocco Frangione, Moose FM; Claude Sharma, Cogeco; Jennifer Sapinet, Rogers Radio; and PJ Wilson, the Nugget.

President John Strang said “I encourage everyone to attend the event and be an informed voter in this year’s federal election. The Chamber will also be handing out booklets at the event, that include submissions provided by the candidates and it will also be posted on the Chamber website leading up to the election.”
