NPSC Board diverts 10,000 lbs of electronic waste from landfill

North Bay ON— Approximately 10,000 lbs of electronic waste is on its way to being safely dismantled and recycled, and kept out of the city landfill, thanks to a steady flow of items brought in by hundreds of environmentallyminded
citizens during yesterday’s community E-waste collection at NPSC.

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board and Greentec wish to thank everyone who took the time to sort through and transport their electronics to the drop-off site.

Popular items collected included televisions, computer monitors, towers, keyboards, telephones, radios, microwaves and cellphones.
