Vehicle collision ends with impaired driving charges

At 7:30 AM 16 Apr a Male young offender reversed a vehicle at the intersection of Lovell and Karla. The vehicle went onto a lawn, struck several planters, a hedge and onto another lawn where it came to rest. The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

Investigation revealed that the vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day. The driver was located and arrested on Lakeshore Dr at 7:49AM.

He has been charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80 Mgs, Fail to Remain, Dangerous Driving, Possession of Stolen Property, and Threatening.

Csts Barry MacIntosh and Bill Gainforth are investigating.
