St. Joseph‐Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School is preparing for its Spring Food Drive, an annual Lenten tradition at the school.

The team has expanded its canvasing territory this year to benefit the food banks in North Bay, Powassan and Callander. SJSH students, staff, alumni, and friends, partnered with teams from École publique Odysée, will go door‐to‐door in those three areas from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13.

“Expanding our canvassing territory gives us the opportunity to help a larger number of people in need in our region,” said food drive organizer and SJSH teacher, David Briggs.

“We thought this was the perfect time of year to do that. We also took into consideration that many St. Joseph‐Scollard Hall students live outside of the city of North Bay.”

Home bases for food drive teams will include St. Joseph‐Scollard Hall, École publique Odyssée in North Bay, St. Theresa School in Callander, and St. Gregory School in Powassan.

Food drive teams will mainly target the urban areas in North Bay, Callander and Powassan. Those who wish to contribute but do not live in these areas or do not intend on being home the night of the food drive, are invited to drop off donations at any of the four schools mentioned
above.
