Farm Boy has issued an immediate food safety recall of all glass bottled Farm Boy organic milk, skim, 2 percent, 1 percent, 3.8 percent, un-homogenized and chocolate.

Farm Boy immediately removed all bottles from shelves and immediately contacted the Canadian Food Inspection Agency after a report of glass fragments apparently originating from the packing process at Cochrane’s Dairy in Russell.

The CFIA is conducting a thorough investigation, with the full cooperation of Farm Boy and the dairy.

No injuries have been reported, and no products other than bottled organic milk are affected. Quality of food products and safety of customers is the number one priority at Farm Boy.

If you have recently purchased Farm Boy glass bottled organic milk products, please discontinue use immediately and return the bottles to your Farm Boy store. You will of course be issued a full refund, and you will be assisting with the packaging investigation by returning the milk bottle as is for inspection.

Farm Boy sincerely apologizes for this product problem and thanks you for your understanding.

These products have been distributed at Farm Boy stores in Ontario.

The CFIA is continuing its investigation to identify and remove the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
