The 2010 United Way campaign has finished, with $35,716 available for allocations in North Bay.

Programs funded in North Bay are:

• Four Elms Emergency Shelter, Crisis Centre North Bay - $3, 716

• Youth Social and Recreational Programming, Autism Ontario North Bay and Area - $10,000

• H.I.T. Housing in Trusteeship, Low Income People Involvement of Nipissing - $10,000

• PADDLE – Providing Adults with Developmental Disabilities Lifelong Experiences, Nipissing Association for Disabled Youth - $10,000

• Packsack Smiles, Packsack Smiles Organization - $2,000

Michael Cullen, Executive Director of United Way stated, “We are very excited to see that the North Bay community recognizes the importance of supporting local programming. Thanks so much to all of the donors! We would like to recognize the North Bay Community Foundation for their support as we implemented our process, as well as our North Bay Citizens Advisory Panel volunteers, who spent many hours visiting agencies and making program funding recommendations. Congratulations to the agencies receiving program funding! We look forward to a stronger campaign and increased program funding in the years to come!”
