The Anishinabek Women's Water Commissioner, Josephine Mandamin, who has walked around all five Great Lakes will be at the UOI Offices this Friday to talk to the media about her upcoming Water Walk that will begin in April.

Mandamin will be speaking for the water, and about the 2011 Mother Earth Women's Water Walk: waters from Arctic, Pacific, Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Oceans will be carried to Lake Superior, passing through Nipissing territory at the end of May.

"Commissioner Mandamin has taught all of us how to care for our Lifeblood, water," says Deputy Grand Council Chief Glen Hare. "We need to listen to her teachings and heal our water."
