OPP report fatal motorized snow vehicle collision

Parry Sound – The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called at approximately 7:16pm on Sunday March 6, 2011 to attend a motorized snow vehicle (MSV) motor vehicle collision (MVC) on Blackstone Lake in Seguin Township.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigator (TTCI) unit attended the scene to assist in the investigation. EMS and Seguin Fire attended to scene to assist.

OPP investigation determined that two MSV’s were travelling across Blackstone Lake at the time of the collision. The rearmost MSV collided with a fishing hut, leading to the driver being ejected from the vehicle. As a result of the collision the driver sustained life threatening injuries. He succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.

The deceased, Terry BADGER, 53 years old of Seguin Township, was positively identified at the scene by the accompanying driver.
