Update on assult with weapon case

During the early morning hours of 4th March it is alleged that 2 males attended the residence of a third party on the 200 Block of Princess St E. At 4:30 AM the 2 males got into an argument that escalated to a fight at which time one of the combatants grabbed a knife and stabbed the other party once in the side chest and again in the thigh.

Christopher Linklater, 23yrs, of Down Patrick Rd Ottawa, ON is charged with Assault with a Weapon and Assault Bodily Harm. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

The victim was taken to hospital where he required treatment for non life threatening injuries. Csts Mark McLeod, Erin Pemberton and Marc Ethier are investigating.
