Did you witness this aggravated assault?

On 6th Feb at 3PM it is alleged that a man and a woman were walking on Main St in the downtown area when they were accosted by 3 males. The man was punched in the face and knocked to the ground where he was kicked in the face causing severe damage to his facial area. Attempts were made to take the victim’s wallet but his girlfriend managed to fend them off at which time the culprits fled the area. Three men were subsequently arrested by police.

Keith Paquette 18yrs of Georgian Rd, Dillon Vester 19yrs of Mulligan St, and Kory Benoit 22yrs of Beaver Cr. are all charged with Aggravated Assault and Robbery.

All 3 were held in custody for a bail hearing.

There were several persons in the immediate area at the time of this occurrence and some of them may have chased the suspects. The North Bay Police is requesting that those witnesses contact the investigating officer Cst Brad Reaume.
