Rec students set to host annual acoustic guitar competition

The students of the School of Recreation and Leisure at Canadore College are hosting their annual Acoustic Guitar Competition February 19th from 12pm to 4pm and is open to all ages. This event has been a huge success in the past.

The students of the School of Recreation and Leisure at Canadore College are hosting their annual Acoustic Guitar Competition February 19th from 12pm to 4pm and is open to all ages.

This event has been a huge success in the past. The creater of this event, a recent graduate from the Recreation and Leisure program, has returned to assist in it's facilitation.

The registration fee for contestants is $10. To register folks can and an e-mail to Terri-Lynn at [email protected] or pick up a form at the School of Recreation and Leisure Office on College Drive. Registration is open until Feb. 12.

Local talent will be judged during the competiton.

The viewing audience can pay $2 at the door or bring a non perishable food item.

All proceeds will be going to the local Food Bank.
