The Board of Management of the North Bay Downtown Improvement Area (DIA) is proud to announce that their executive members were decided upon at the first meeting of the 2011-2014 DIA Board of Management.

Mr. Bob Alger, Alger Furniture & Appliance, was acclaimed as Chair and Ms. Michelle Trudeau, Michelle’s Frame Maker & Gallery, was acclaimed as Vice-Chair. This is Mr. Alger’s second term as Chair and Ms. Trudeau’s first term as Vice-Chair. The following were appointed to their respective committees as Chair: Beautification – Nikoline Calcaterra, Soul Sister Creations; Economic Development & Policy – Barry Klus, Cheapskates Quality Sporting Goods; Promotions – Michelle Trudeau. Completing the members of the Executive Committee are Al Lang, Treasurer and Jeff Serran, Executive Director.

The following board members have been appointed to their respective committees: Beautification – Tom Richardson (Vice-Chair), Michelle Trudeau, Mike Anthony and Geoff Richardson; Economic Development & Policy – Thor von Estorff (Vice-Chair), Tom Richardson, Dave Mendicino and Nikoline Calcaterra; Promotions – Thor von Estorff (Vice-Chair), Barry Klus and Geoff Richardson.

I look forward to working with our new and returning board members who have shown their own enthusiasm and abilities from the very first meeting. Working with our membership, the City of North Bay and various partners the transition that is about to occur in the next four years will make Downtown North Bay the envy and example for all business improvement areas” states DIA Chair Bob Alger.
