West Ferris Secondary School students get another day off

A broken water main on Marshall Park Drive has caused West Ferris Secondary School to close for the day, as the school does not have access to water. Students and staff at West Ferris Secondary School who arrived at the school this morning have been safely accommodated in the school.

City of North Bay Public Works advised that they expect it will take most of the day to repair the broken water main.

As a result, students who have parental permission are being dismissed to go home. Students who are not able to make parental contact will be supervised at Silver Birches Senior Public School for the day. Buses will depart at the end of the day, on their normal schedule.

The Near North District School Board would like to thank the City of North Bay and Board staff who are working diligently to deal with this concern.
