The Families First Committee is excited to announce that the Families First New Years Eve Celebration is just around the corner.

This showcase of free family fun will take place in Thomson Park, Memorial Gardens and the YMCA December 31st, 2010 from 4 pm - 8 pm.

Families First will celebrate the New Year family oriented activities including the return of the ever popular Guitar Hero Warz, Inflatable Bouncy Land and Glow in the Dark Frisbee.

Other event activities include Kids Colouring Contests, Face Painting, Kids Bingo, Skating, Live entertainment, Family Swim, Volleyball, Big Bonfire, Hydro Hunt and the Grand Final Fireworks display rounding up the evening.

Admission is free to all participants but we do encourage everyone to bring a non-perishable food donation for the North Bay Food Bank.

“The entire committee would like to thank all of our sponsors and donors of this event.” “It wouldn’t be possible without you” stated Brian Winkworth, Honorary Chair, Families First Committee.

Anyone interested in volunteering for the event is encouraged to fill out an application form obtained at the Parks, Recreation & Leisure Services Department in City Hall, 2nd floor or can be found on the City of North Bay’s website.

“We encourage all members of the community and their families to come down and join us in this free family event of fun and entertainment” said Erin Vaughan, Community Event Facilitator.
