On Saturday, December 18, 2010 shortly after 11:00 a.m., a North Bay OPP officer was conducting routine patrol when he stopped a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 17 in Papineau Cameron Township.
The driver, Robert LOTZ, 41 years old of Fugereville, Quebec was charged with Over 80 as per s. 253 (1) (b) of the Criminal Code and with Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor as per s. 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act (LLA). LOTZ's vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
LOTZ is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on January 4, 2011.
