Traffic stop leads to impaired charges

On Saturday, December 18, 2010, at approximately 2:15
a.m., a North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducted a routine traffic stop on McKeown Avenue in the city of North Bay.

The driver of the vehicle, Serge J. MALETTE, 36 years old, of North Bay, was arrested and charged with Over 80 as per s. 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code. MALETTE is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on January 4, 2011.
