City man charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle

On Tues 23rd Nov at 9:15 PM a white van was stolen on Veronica St.

The culprit drove onto Kingsway where he struck a parked vehicle causing extensive damage to the front end. He continued down Kingsway and struck another parked car causing extensive damage to the rear end. He then drove over the front lawn of one residence, through a fence, over some bushes striking a child’s rope ladder and came to rest next to the front porch of another residence. The driver fled, but was located nearby by Cst Ashley St John.

Joseph Nakogee 24Yrs of Third Ave W was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Refuse Breath Test and Theft Over $5000.00.

He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
