Smith talks about HST and BC Premier's resignation

BC Premier Gordon Campbell, Canada's longest serving premier, abruptly announced his resignation Wednesday after his approval rating fell to a single-digit.

At heart of the poll numbers is his flawed Harmonized Sales Tax. Nipissing MPP Monique Smith says in the wake of the news she doesn’t expect the same kind of backlash here because unlike BC, the McGuinty Government in Ontario did their homework. She says they introduced an integrated tax package, a personal tax cut and tax credits.
