Looking for something fun for the kids to do on the November 5 Professional Development Day? Register your six to nine year old for an Environmental Daycamp offered by the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA).

The PD Daycamp is designed for elementary school students based on the NBMCA's successful March Break and Summer Environmental Camp Programs. Camp runs from 8:30a.m.- 4:30p.m. at the NBMCA Natural Classroom and Laurentian Escarpment Conservation Area, 15 Janey Ave., North Bay.

"The PD Daycamp provides a fun and safe setting for children to explore our environment," explains Dale D'Allaire, NBMCA Naturalist.

Children will participate in a variety of environmentally based indoor and outdoor activities including nature studies, crafts and games. The cost is $32.00 per participant for the day. The public is asked to (705) 474-5420 for more information or to register.

The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) was founded in 1972 by the Province of Ontario and the NBMCA's 10 member municipalities. A non-profit organization, the NBMCA works closely with the public to balance human needs with the environmental needs of the region's watershed. The NBMCA is one of 36 Conservation Authorities who are members of Conservation Ontario.
