Mayor's Trust gives Kidsport a boost

Mayor Victor Fedeli presents a $1,000 cheque to Michelle Cundari and Councillor Dave Mendicino of Kidsport North Bay.

Kidsport helps under-serviced kids overcome social & economic barriers that are preventing or limiting their participation in organized sport, through the issuance of registration fees and/or equipment grants.

The $1,000 donation is from The Mayor's Trust - United Way, which collects local donations all year long.

Many local companies have employee payroll funds which are directed to the United Way, including Earth Tech, TD Canada Trust, Canada Post, PCL Contractors, Royal Bank, Canada Bread, Provincial Government, CIBC, Bell

Canada, Aviva, and Future Shop. Future Shop and the LCBO also have Point-of-Sale promotions during the holiday season, raising thousands of dollars for local support.
