The North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce presented the Evening of Excellence Awards last evening at the Best Western, an event during Small Business Week. Award nominees and sponsors filled the room to celebrate awards winners in the following categories: New Business of the Year presented by Bell Aliant; Environment Award presented by TD Canada Trust; Not-for-Profit of the Year presented by Rebuilt Resources; Employee of the Year presented by The Business Centre of Nipissing Parry Sound; Young Professional of the Year presented by Nipissing University School of Business and Economics; Business Student of the Year presented by Canadore College; Inspiring Possibilities Award presented by Community Living North Bay; and two Success Story Awards presented by BDC.

The winners were:

New Business of the Year – Melissa Marker, Twiggs Coffee Roasters at One Kids Place

Environment Award – Kris Ledoux, Go Off the Grid

Not-for-Profit of the Year – North Bay & District Multicultural Centre

Employee of the Year – Jody Humphrey, Holiday Inn Express

Young Professional of the Year – Anna Iati, The Business Centre of Nipissing Parry Sound

Business Student of the Year – Justin DeBernardi and Kloé Schultz, Dynamic Dance

Innovation Award – Peak Fitness & Indoor Cycling Studio
