What could a professional artist in your community do with $35,000? A lot - from supplies to support, this amount could mean a world of difference to an artist.

And you can help make this happen for an outstanding artist or arts organization.

The deadline for nominations for the 2011 Premier's Awards for Excellence in the Arts is fast approaching. Nominations are due December 1, 2010, and we would like Ontarians to take this opportunity to recognize the work of this province's artists and arts organizations.

Ontario artists and arts organizations help us exchange ideas, images, stories and experiences that are uniquely Canadian. The Premier's Awards for Excellence in the Arts recognize the outstanding achievements of artists and arts organizations and their contributions to arts and culture in Ontario over a significant period of time.

Coverage of the awards and nomination deadline will ensure residents of your community have the opportunity to nominate local artists and arts organizations.
