Unity at École Cité des Jeunes

The students at École Cité des Jeunes are making every minute count as they mark the final year as a stand alone grade 7 and 8 intermediate school in the city. Today they kicked off a week of cultural activities by unfurling a 10.8 meters by 2.

The students at École Cité des Jeunes are making every minute count as they mark the final year as a stand alone grade 7 and 8 intermediate school in the city.

Today they kicked off a week of cultural activities by unfurling a 10.8 meters by 2.7 meters Franco-Ontario flag over our school. The project, which the students have worked on since September 25th, features each child's hand-print and signature. Other events throughout the week include choosing our student council and starting their annual food drive.

Cité des Jeunes has been a part of the community for the last 38 years and staff and students say all activities undertaken at Cité for 2010/2011 will focus on making lasting memories and having the school stand out in community.

Cité des Jeunes will join École Secondaire Catholique Algonquin in September 2011 and become a grade 7 to 12 school.
