Canadore is proud to announce six new members of the College's Board of Governors for the 2010-2011 academic year:

William (Bill) Ferguson - William is vice president, creative, and partner at TWG Communications, a full-service communications agency which provides brand and image development, marketing, and advertising services. William has 14 years experience in industry and has directed campaigns for high profile clients such as Motorola Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, Osprey Media and Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation. He has served as chair of the North Bay Police Services board and on the North Bay Area Museum board and is presently serving as treasurer for Heritage North Bay and is community representative on the King George public school student advisory council. William has been the recipient of a number of awards including the Northern Ontario Business Forty under Forty.

Kirk Kelusky - Kirk has been with the North Bay Police Services since 1985. Promoted to inspector in 2006, he is a member of the criminal investigations unit and is lead investigator for homicide investigations. He is also the criminal intelligence coordinator and conducts intelligence work within North Bay and across the country. Kirk has served as a committee representative on the North Bay Heritage Festival and Air Show and is a civilian instructor and biathlon coach for the Royal Canadian Air Cadets 547 Canuck Squadron at CFB North Bay. Inspector Kelusky has received several commendations throughout his career including the Government of Canada Police Medal of Exemplary Service.

Doug McCausland - Doug is systems administrator for the Stockfish Automotive Group. In this role he oversees information technology and telecom for all 11 locations throughout Ontario. He has worked in industry since 1984 in a variety of roles. Doug is an active member of the community having served as president of the local Humane Society and as council chair of Saint Andrews United Church in North Bay. He also served two terms on the provincial advisory committee for automotive service technicians, and on the customer advisory board of Reynolds and Reynolds, an information management solutions provider for automotive
retailers.

Lisa O'Kane - Lisa is the principal of Almaguin Highlands Secondary School in South River. Lisa has been a senior administrator in public education since 2004 and prior to that spent 16 years in the classroom as an educator. Lisa has extensive academic training that includes a Masters of Education degree and specialized training in special education. Lisa has participated in the National Coaching Program and currently coaches hockey, track and field and volleyball. She has been a speaker at the Principal's Qualification Program for the past two years and she was an instructor in the Bachelor of Education program at Nipissing University. Lisa is a leader in our community having been an active member of a number committees and professional development workshops including the Special Education Steering Committee and Future Leaders in Education leadership workshops.

Donald Sanderson - Donald is CEO of the West Parry Sound Health Centre. He has 20 plus years of senior management experience in rural, community, academic, adult and paediatric healthcare settings. His roles have included chief executive officer of Alexandra Hospital and Manager/Director Cardiac Care Program for London Health Sciences Centre. He is a Member of the Canadian Colleges of Health Services Executives. Donald is a member of the Canadian Colleges of Health Services Executives, the Parry Sound and Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Rotary Club of Parry Sound. He has served as chair of the Ontario Hospital Association Small, Rural and Northern Hospitals Leadership Council. He received the 2006 Industry Person Recognition of Achievement from the Ingersoll and District Chamber of Commerce, and has been recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club of Parry Sound.

Mark Sherry - Mark is vice president, ITSM Division, of Stroma Service Consulting Inc., an IT consulting firm specializing in helping IT departments make improvements in the cost, quality, and service that they provide to the business. In his role, he manages all aspects of the division, including sales, marketing, implementation, training, and support. He is also partner and chief financial officer for Stroma. Mark has served as a director on the North Bay Chamber of Commerce and as a board member of Stepping Stones, a start-up incubator. He is a former Canadore employee and previously served on the board. Mark is the recipient of a number of awards including the 2004 Northern Ontario Award for Innovation and the 2006 Business of the Year Award from the North Bay Chamber of Commerce. Mark is an active member of the community, coaching soccer and hockey for more than a decade.

Canadore is privileged to have such distinguished individuals be a fundamental part of the College's operations.
