The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound Inc. held the 2010 FedNor Business Plan Challenge Presentations and Awards Dinner on September 29, 2010 at Zorba’s Grill. The challenge featured eight young entrepreneurs that created business and marketing plans and presented to a panel of five judges. The judges were Guy Paquette from FedNor, Pauline Rochefort from Nipissing University, Dominique Marleau from the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry, Neil Fox from Economic Partners, and Tanya Bedard from Canadian Youth Business Foundation.
The winners in the Marketing Plan portion of the challenge were as follows:
1st Place: Stacey Willick from West Ferris Secondary School $500 2nd Place: Kiefer Uuksulainen from West Ferris Secondary School $300 3rd Place: Sébastien Maillé from École Secondaire Algonquin $100 4th Place: Martin Chartrand from École Secondaire Algonquin
The Winners in the Business Plan potion of the challenge were as follows:
1st Place: Lianne Tammi from École Secondaire Algonquin $800 2nd Place: Nikolas De Bernardi from École Secondaire Algonquin $500 3rd Place: Amanda Nadon-Langlois from École Secondaire Algonquin $300 4th Place: Megan Bonefant from École Secondarie Algonquin.
