Police pursuit ends with impaired driving charges

On 23Sept. at 12:10AM Csts Dix, Adair and Reaume were conducting R.I.D.E on the overpass on Lakeshore Dr when an approaching vehicle suddenly reversed, spinning its tires and turned around leaving at high speed.

Officers gave chase onto Charles Ave. where the driver abandoned his vehicle near Strathcona Dr and fled on foot. A short foot chase occurred and the suspect was arrested and a breathalyzer was later administered.

Chad Bellaire 28yrs of Clifford ave. was charged with Impaired Driving, Over.08 and Flight Police. He is to appear in court on Nov 16 2010.
