Strong Township man charged with aggravated assault

Magnetawan – Almaguin Highlands OPP have arrested and charged a Strong Township man in relation to an assault that took place in the early morning hours of Sunday August 22nd in the Town of Magnetawan.

The victim was in a defenceless position when the accused kicked the victim in the face. The victim was rendered unconscious and suffered multiple fractures to the bones in his face. He has since been treated and released from hospital but continues to receive medical treatment for his injuries.

OPP have charged TYLER CHERSKI (22) of Strong Twp with one count of Aggravated Assault, one count of Assault Cause Bodily Harm and one count of Impaired Operation of a Motor vehicle.

The accused will appear in court on October 5th 2010.
