Traffic complaint leads to impaired charges for North Bay man

North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 on Highway 17 east of North Bay, Ontario.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., police received a call of a possible impaired driver travelling westbound on Highway 17 east of the city of North Bay. An OPP officer located the vehicle in the area of Seymour and the Bypass in the city of North Bay.

As a result, Timothy EDWARDS, 44, of North Bay was charged with Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content s. 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code with a scheduled court date of August 31, 2010 as well as Operate a motor vehicle without insurance s. 2(1) (a) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with a scheduled court date of September 17, 2010.
