What?: A&W Food Services of Canada is hosting its 2nd annual Cruisin’ for a Cause fundraising event for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada at more than 700 restaurants across the country. $1 from every Teen Burger sold on August 26 goes to the MS Society. Last year A&W was proud to raise over $400,000.

Various events across Canada will include:
• Classic car rallies
• Car hop relay races
• A&W Root Beer® chugging contests
• Great A&W Root Bear visit and photo opps
• MS info booths and representatives

Who?: Local A&W franchisees and team
Great A&W Root Bear

When?: Thursday, August 26, 2010

Where?: A&W North Bay Mall
300 Lakeshore Drive

Why?: Multiple Sclerosis is the most common neurological disease in young adults across Canada. Canada has one of the highest incidence rates of multiple sclerosis in the world – research and support for people with MS and their families is critical.

Cruisin’ for a Cause creates an opportunity for Canadian baby boomers who grew up enjoying warm summer evenings in their cars at A&W drive-ins – often with the radio
blaring and trays of Teen burgers, hand-made onion rings and mugs of icy cold A&W RootBeer™ delivered by car hops – to revisit those fond memories and support the Multiple
Sclerosis Society of Canada.
