NORTH BAY – After considering all options and consulting with family and friends, Deputy Mayor Peter Chirico is ready and excited to once again run for North Bay City Council.

Having served 10 years on Council, including seven as Deputy Mayor, Chirico understands the importance of the work that needs to continue and knows that working on behalf of the people of North Bay is a duty that can not be taken lightly.

“It has been a tremendous honour to serve North Bay on Council and I am ready to continue those duties if the people of North Bay choose to elect me in October,” stated Chirico. “Now is the time for proven leadership and experience to ensure the work that has taken place over the past two terms, continues.”

Although the City of North Bay has come through a very challenging economic period, Chirico is proud to have worked with council to put the City in better shape today than ten years ago. Working together with Council and City Staff, Chirico has helped change the way the City does business and the City has never been busier. A balanced financial approach together with investments in green technology, sewers and roads, affordable housing and parks, makes North Bay a great place to live and invest in.

The City of North Bay needs continued investment in infrastructure, growth of employment, ensured community safety and improved quality of life, all with sound financial direction.

“The City cannot return to the years of neglect and lack of investment,” Chirico added. “It’s about doing the right thing, at the right time, for the right reasons”.
