The group working to keep 31 mental health beds, patients, and jobs from moving from North bay to Sudbury has big plans for next week.

After discussions over the past few weeks; the Concerned Ctizen's committee has scheduled a townhall meeting for next wednesday evening, July 28th, at Emmanuel United Church on Lakeshore drive at 7pm.

At that time the CCC group is planning to outline the fundamentals of its' strategy for moving forward. Plans call for an update on the issues and concerns the group have, releasing of the content of their letter to the Ombudsman that officially asks for some assistance, and introduction to some families whose stories will be featured in the effort. It's all part of taking the CCC efforts to the public to try to get this unpopular decision reversed. The group doesn't believe the decision to move the 31 beds was one made wisely.

The efforts of an earlier City Council/Chamber of Commerce committee brought unsatisfactory answers to questions around the move. That resulted in the formation of the Concerned Citizen's Committee.
