The ability to read well is essential for school success. Children who are not reading well by age eight usually have difficulty throughout their school years. Parents have an essential role in assisting their child from birth to be a successful reader.
This program is shared with parents through a series of interactive workshops offered by the North Bay Literacy Council. The workshops and parentfriendly materials help parents to understand how their child learns and provide specific strategies to help with reading and processing information.
