Witnesses intervene with impaired driver

On July 4, 2010 at approximately 3:30 a.m., Powassan OPP officers received a call of a suspected impaired driver.

Officers responded and located the vehicle on Memorial Park Drive in Chisolm Township where witnesses intervened until police arrival as there were two children in the vehicle.

A 37 North Bay man is charged with Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content as per s. 253 (1) (b) and with Impaired Operation as per s. 253(1) (a) of the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on July 13, 2010.
