More charges laid in the Reaume death investigation

City of Temiskaming Shores - Additional charges have been laid in the death investigation of Perry REAUME. On the 2nd June 2008, a human skull was discovered in the Village of Thornloe. These remains were later identified as those of Perry REAUME from Marten River. Following an extensive police investigation, his additional remains were located in the Haileybury area earlier this year.

On the 18th June 2010 Steven HILL of Haileybury was arrested and charged by the Ontario Provincial Police for the offences of criminal negligence, indignity to a human body and various weapons offences.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, Steven HILL has also been charged with manslaughter in the death of Perry REAUME, in addition to further firearm offences.

Diane MORRIS also of Haileybury remains charged with Indignity to a Human Body. HILL has been held in custody and will appear in Haileybury Court on Monday July 5th, 2010. MORRIS will appear in court in August 2010.

The investigation is continuing by officers from the Northeast Region Unsolved Homicide Investigative Unit (UHIT), Identification Unit and Temiskaming Detachment, under the direction of OPP Detective Inspector Ken LEPPERT, Criminal Investigation Branch.
