The North Bay Police Service wishes to advise that the burn victim is identified as Joseph Thomas Wheesk 44 yrs presently of North Bay.
He is listed as critical condition in Sunnybrook hospital.
The investigation is continuing.

At about 2:30AM the North Bay Fire Dept and The North Bay Police Service responded to a house fire at 676 Ann St.
A male adult was found outside the residence with severe burns. This person has since been sent to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto due to the seriousness of his injuries.
Because the cause of the fire is not readily apparent The North Bay Police has joined the investigation from the beginning.
Ontario Fire Marshall Jeff Post in concert with Chief Fire Prevention Officer Randy Vezina and North Bay Police D/Cst Paul Brewer are investigating.
