Susan Aglukark headlines the annual RunWalk4Patrick Family Fest

Patrick4Life AIDS Awareness & Education is hosting their annual fundraiser, the RunWalk4Patrick Family Fest on Saturday June 12 and Sunday June 13, 2010.

As part of their 5th year anniversary, Patrick4Life is welcoming two special guests. Glenn Marais, musician and gifted humanitarian, will be featuring a song about HIV and AIDS created with local elementary school students during the pasta dinner taking place at École Secondaire Algonquin Cafeteria from 6-7:30 pm on Saturday June 12. Following the pasta dinner, singer/songwriter Susan Aglukark will be making a keynote presentation in the school’s auditorium from 7:30 to 8:30 pm.

Sunday June 13, runners and walkers from across Ontario will be participating in a ½ marathon, 10 km, 5 km, or 2 km Run Walk Wheel starting at 8 am. Lee Park is the start and end of the course, and the backdrop for the accompanying festivities, which include live music, a barbecue and an awards ceremony highlighting the fastest female and male runners in each category at 10:30 am.
