Fire ban continues for North Bay and area Update

Please be advised that effective June 10th West Nipissing has lifted the Fire Ban in our Municipality.

The following municipalities in the Nipissing, East Parry Sound region currently have fire bans in place:

North Bay - Fireworks are considered an open flame and are banned during a restricted fire/fire ban.

Township of Bonfield

West Nipissing Fireworks are also ban when a Fire Ban is in effect

Municipality of Powassan

Township of Nipissing

Twp of Laurier

This is necessary due to the weather conditions and will require a significant amount of rain fall to change the situation.

This means No Open Air Burning Permitted.

Fire Danger Rating is now set at Moderate (yellow), for the following municipalities:

Burk's Falls & District

Perry Twp

Kearney

McMurrich-Montieth

Village of Sundridge

Township of Strong

Magnetawan

Calvin Township

Municipality of Callander

Mattawa

Chisholm

Temagami

East Ferris

Papineau-Cameron

Restoule
