The Northern Ontario Influential Women of Northern Ontario awards program have announced this year's northeast and northwest award winners of the private and public sectors including the young entrepreneurs, and an aspiring achiever essay scholarship winner.

In the northeast, Marian Theriault took home the Private Sector Award, Judy Sharpe, the Public Sector Award and the Young Entrepreneur Award went to Darby-Reed and Brenna Massimiliano. In the northwest, Cindy Maki was the Private Sector Award winner, Angela Halvorsen, the Public Sector Award recipient and the Young Entrepreneur went to Lindsey Beaulne and the Aspiring Achiever Essay Scholarship winner was Brittney Marshall.

The ceremonies and tradeshow were held at Sault Ste. Marie’s Algoma’s Water Tower Inn, and Thunder Bay's Victoria Inn June 1 and June 3 respectively.
