Armour Twp - On Thursday May 20, 2010 at approximately 3:30pm Almaguin Highlands OPP detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police investigated a two vehicle collision on Hwy#11 in Armour Twp that took the life of one male.

A south bound Toyota Corolla crossed the centre line and collided with a North Bound Dodge Ram pick up truck.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 71 year old man from Stoney Creek was taken to the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital by ambulance and later released.

The female passenger of the Dodge Ram and the driver of the Toyota Corolla, a 53 year old male from Newmarket were also taken to Huntsville District Memorial Hospital by ambulance and are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The front passenger of the Toyota Corolla was taken to Huntsville District Memorial Hospital and then air lifted to Sunnybrook Hospital where she is being treated with non-life threatening injuries.

The rear passenger of the Toyota Corolla, Colin LEITCH (17) of Newmarket was pronounced dead at the Huntsville Hospital.

The collision is still under the investigation of the Almaguin Highlands OPP Detachment and the North East Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit.
