Due to inclement weather----the Tim Hortons community clean up day has been cancelled for today.

It was scheduled for the Tim Horons on McKeown, Northgate Square and at the location at 98 Lakeshore Drive starting @ 10 a.m. today.

The event, suppported by North Bay Blooms---has been rescheduled for Wednesday May 19th in the evening. Details to be confirmed.

Tim Hortons is proud to partner with North Bay Blooms and Councillor Chris Mayne, to host a Community Clean-up Day on Saturday, May 8th, from 10 am to 12 Noon at three Tim Hortons locations at :

98 Lakeshore Drive (just past the overpass),
Tim Hortons north end parking lot @ Northgate Square
and the
Tim Hortons on McKeown Ave.

The public is welcome to come out and help; there will be free t-shirts and gloves for all taking part, plus much more. As part of our ongoing commitment to the environment, Tim Hortons partners with communities across North America to help reduce litter and keep neighborhoods looking beautiful. This will mark the 9th year for a Tim Hortons sponsored community clean up day in North Bay.

“As a neighbor and active member of the community Tim Hortons is pleased to support this important project and join with our customers to help keep North Bay streets clean,” says Carrie Lynn and Ralph Closs, local store owners. Other local owners supporting the clean up include Peter and Brandon Moffat and Ken Coughlin.

Tim Hortons has taken a leadership role to help tackle litter in the communities where we live, work and play. Throughout the year, Tim Hortons supports a variety of community clean-up events in more than 150 regions across Canada. In addition, all stores continue to educate and create awareness through anti-litter messages on in-store LCD screens and drive-thru exit signs. They also encourage customers to use travel mugs and receive a .10 cent discount.
