Sword fight leads to aggravated assault charges

On the 23rd of April at approximately 2:30 AM it is alleged that while at a party within a North Bay home, a partygoer grabbed a sword and struck another man over the head. It is further alleged that this attacker then took a kitchen knife and cut another man in the hand and a second male in the face, It is unknown at this time what the injuries consisted of.

It is also alleged that one of the partygoers was struck with a wrench.

Cst. Mark McLeod and Det. Cst. Paul Brewer of the North Bay Police investigated the matter and at 1 PM later that day they arrested one suspect in relation to these alleged incidents. The officers also arrested two other males earlier in the day and charged them as well.

Arthur MAILLOT 20 years old from Trout Lake Rd. is charged with Aggravated Assault, and 2 counts of Assault With a Weapon. He remains in custody for a bail hearing.

Lester BOYER 21 years old of Yellick Trail in West Nipissing and Colin SULLIVAN 20 years old, of Gregory Dr. in North Bay are charged with Break and Enter, Assault With a Weapon and Mischief. Both were kept in custody for a bail hearing.
