The student group would like to invite you to their rally against the naming of the new library. Nipissing University (and Canadore) have been diligently building a new library that is rumoured to be named after former Premier Mike Harris. The university has neither confirmed nor denied these rumours.

The students of Nipissing and Canadore wish to make it known that we do no support the naming of Nipissing’s new library after Mike Harris.

On Wednesday, March 31st at 5 pm between the Athletic Center and the new library, the Nipissing and Canadore student body are inviting you to participate in a peaceful protest rally against this name. We will have speakers from local organizations supporting our rally. We will then march to the round-a-bout. We wish to officially invite you to come and participate by helping us promote our message.

The rally is a free event and all are welcome to attend.
