His latest piece Massacre offers young actors an opportunity to cut their teeth in a show that is geared to their age for strong character development.

McLean says the show takes a look at what would happen if phrases used in daily language were taken literally.

Having lost his love for the industry earlier this year McLean was ready to pack it all in but says with the TV and movie productions that landed in the area this past fall he caught a break which renewed his love for the industry.

Canadore College Theatre Arts student Scott Marleau (pictured) says he is learning a great deal being part of the young company.

Curtain time is 7pm sharp at Veritasse located at 194 Main Street West (corner of Fraser and Main Streets) tonight (Friday) and Saturday. Tickets are $15 at the door.
