2nd annual Nursing Scholarship Day set to go

The collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Nipissing University and Canadore College is pleased to announce the second annual Nursing Scholarship Day, which will be held March 1 at the Monastery, from 3:30 – 7:30 p.m.

The program welcomes Dr. Florence Myrick to campus as the keynote speaker. Myrick will speak at 3:30 p.m.

Myrick is a professor and associate dean, teaching in the faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta. Her area of clinical expertise has been primarily in the area of acute and adult critical care, specifically medical/surgical intensive care nursing. Myrick has been an educator for many years and has taught courses in health assessment, research, and philosophy.

Nursing Scholarship Day promotes scholarships in Nursing and highlights the achievements of students and faculty in the Nursing program. Community partners such as the North Bay General Hospital, Canadian Nursing Students Association and the Registered Nursing Association of Ontario are also invited to share their own scholarly achievements.

The event is free of charge and all are welcome. There will be refreshments and door prizes.
